    YES!
Been F5ing this page since Saturday.
    Thanks as always.
Greetings from Mexico to all KnJ fans.

  2. auriga says:

Thanks for the new chapter! :D

  3. Your mother says:

    Thanks saha and donators.

On an unrelated note. The new site’s design suck major ass saha. The buttons on the side for kodomo is outdated showing only old chapters and the aspect ratio of the Starcraft girl is fucked up. The old one was much better.

    • Anon E. Mouse says:

After all the trouble Saha had with his old hosting service, this is amazing. I’m sure as time wears on, things will change, but for now, stop whining.

  4. theCollect0r says:

BTW, FYI, Rin is saying “Boin” on page 16 for anyone wondering.

  5. virox says:

    Thanks for the new chapter!
Uhh, it is a strange one, though. It’s a good thing the misunderstanding is cleared up, finally, but… wow. When did Reiji draw these conclusions about Aoki and Rin? Was it last chapter? I mean, he pretty much approves that they will marry eventually, when did he find out? I can only assume it was last chapter, because it really didn’t feel like he noticed just how deep their relationship was before.
And that other part… So he wants to commit suicide after Rin doesn’t need him anymore? Dude, come on. There are a lot of imageboards alone, with people having the same issue as you do. And then this complicated problem of both adults entrusting Rin to each other. Just how entraped can the story get?
And to top it off, another BBS arc is underway. Looks like KnJ is not that close to being over just yet.

    • Kazeto says:

It was something that happened over time. There just came a moment when he accepted Aoki as a person and not just a thief intent on stealing Rin, and when he realized that he can’t substitute Aki with Rin.
It’s sad that he came to the conclusion that he’ll have to kill himself after that, but that just means some more character development has to be called for. And people with his kind of upbringing usually do have serious issues, so while the direction his issues took is weird, I’m not surprised that it’s not all good with him now.

Whoo! Thanks for the new chapter!

  7. Darkridr says:

Thanks very much for the translated chapter. I was a bit worried when I came to your site and saw the last 5 chapters not in the lineup. I know you batch them, on occasion, but you usually have both the batch, and the individual chapters available. When I saw the missing parts, I thought maybe something happened and we wouldn’t get this installment.

I completely understand how Reiji feels in this, as I too do nothing but exist. It’s a very lonely, depressing state. It should prove interesting to see how Usa handles this. I hope that, if not Usa, then at least someone gives Reiji a reason to live. I don’t know how many more chapters of KnJ I’ll be able to enjoy before this depression overwhelms me, but I’d love to see at least one of us have a happy ending — even if one of us happens to be imaginary….

  8. Geese1 says:

Many thanks for the new chapter!

  9. Hilarious! KnJ just keeps getting better and better. Kodomo no Jikan 85: Reiji Ruins Everything, Forever. Booooo, Reiji! Booooo!

    Thanks, Sayo-san!

  10. Succubi Samus says:

Vaylon: Reiji don’t deserve your comments, if anyone has to dissapear is Houin since she is becoming a character whose development is almost unexistant. I’m really sick worried for his words…” I’ll be with Aki-San”….

  11. Anonymous says:

5th thread on the last page: I completely agree.

  12. Shiro says:

Reiji is going to ruin everything. He’s going to make Rin cry. :(

  13. Anonymous says:

@”Your mother” Actually she isn’t saying Boin, rather she isn’t saying anything… That’s a sound effect “ぽかーん” which is “pokaan.” Which is basically a “pop” noise effect of realization (that Aoki is free).

  14. theodoric says:

thank you very much for the chapter Saha, and for the last one … I’m glad to see that you have survived the host problems

WOW … what a hell of a couple of chapters … and ROFL @ both Houin and Shirai totally getting it wrong about who Aoki is in love with LOLOLOLOLOLOL

I found it very interesting that Mimi was looking up the sex crime laws … with Reiji’s dark side showing up again I am starting to suspect that she will end up being the one who keeps him alive by the two of them being a couple

and LOL it seems like Aoki is the only one who either hasnt figured out yet that he and Rin really are a couple, or he is just afraid to admit it to himself … LOL it is fun when even Reiji accepts Aoki & Rin as a couple , and is ok with it, but Aoki doesnt yet

  15. Chase says:

It’s not that he dosent realize it, it’s just that he isn’t going to make a move until after she graduates from school (if at all) and sees how she turns out. If she can have a normal relationship by that time, he’ll be happy for her, if she’s still hung up on him, that works for him too. Either way, he just wants her to keep smiling.
Anywho…come on Reiji, you’ve been flipfloping for the past few chapters now. Happy, sad, accepting, depressed, hopeful, suicidal.

    • Onii-chan says:

      > “come on Reiji, you’ve been flipfloping for the past few chapters now. Happy, sad, accepting, depressed, hopeful, suicidal.”

So he’s a normal human being?

I’m rooting for Mimi to pull Reiji through, and it’s wonderful that Rin get’s confirmation that she’s Aoki’s girl. Rin really needed that and it’ll make her much happier and able to handle the time until she becomes of age to marry Aoki. Well, until the next plot twist, where Rin is thrown back into a state of confusion from a misunderstanding :)

PS: What is the age of marriage, with parental consent, in Japan?

      • Onii-chan says:

Rin is currently 12? They have four more years then. Waiting is so hard…

        Summary (for Japanese):

        Without parental consent: 20

With parental consent: 18 for males and 16 for females.

        Swiped from the US Embassy:

Who Can Get Married in Japan?

Article 731 to 737 of the Japanese Civil Code stipulates the following requirements:

The male partner must be 18 years of age or older and the female partner must be 16 years of age or older.

In addition, for Americans, you must be able to legally marry in your home state; if the legal age of marriage at home is 18, you cannot marry earlier than that in Japan.

A woman cannot get married within six months of the dissolution of her previous marriage. According to Japanese law, this is to avoid confusion as to the identification of a child’s father if a birth occurs close in time to the end of the marriage.

Most people related by blood, by adoption or through other marriages cannot get married in Japan.

A person who is under 20 years of age cannot get married in Japan without a parent’s approval.

All teachers always misconception to every conversation they had and become side comical gag in this chapter. Even Oyajima-sensei shed the manly tears.

Next chapter seems like the side story arc.

  22. -HP says:

many many many thanks for another great chapter.

Im happy the the misunderstanding is clear. Rin and Aoki just look so right together :D

  23. Anon says:

    THAT CHAPTER ENDING.

    HO HO HOOOOOOOOOO SHIT.

    DIS GON’ BE GUD.

  24. Alwin says:

bottom left page 9: perhaps now Aoki doesn’t have to transfer after all when more kids will attend the school?

top of page 16: looks like Rin finally realizes Aoki is talking about her :) after hearing that she does look more at ease around him.

Thanks Sayo for the chapter. Feels like we have at least another arc before KnJ might get finished!

  25. Chase says:

    @ Alwin
They were thinking of moving Aoki with the knowledge of the extra student in mind already. The influx was actually the reason for his transfer in the first place, because another school needed a new teacher for the extra students.
And maybe, but I think it’s that she realizes that her passive attitude the past few chapters were uneeded, as Aoki is actually available (he didn’t actually say anything about liking anyone, so I don’t think she notices his feelings, and he’s given these kinds of speeches before so it’s not unusual to her)

  26. Alwin says:

Must be a Japanese thing then – even though you will have more students next year (so more need for extra teachers) you send one of yours – one that just started to act like a proper teacher – to another school. Funny society they have, there..

  27. Chase says:

It’s not that uncommon over here either. When a influx of kids come into a school district, teachers can get shuffled to fill in gaps. Perhaps the school that wants Aoki is larger than the one he’s at now and they really need the extra teacher to cope with the extra.
If there isn’t any new education graduates, you need to make the most of what you already have on the payroll.

  28. Miki says:

    Ahhh, Rin.

Reiji has never been a favorite for me as I see him as an immature, confused, attention hungry man. I have grown to like him though and I think this chapter made me like him just a wee bit more (til he said he wanted to kill himself after Rin is ‘done’ with him.) Here HE is pushing his ideals on Rin AGAIN. First it was his idea for her to be his wife now it’s for her to be Aoki’s wife. Seriously, what will Reiji do when Rin DOES have other boyfriends in middle school/high school…expect Aoki to come steal Rin away? He’d get fired.

Aoki just wants Rin to grow up normally without forcing his ‘feelings’ on to her. He hasn’t even contemplated marriage with Rin! She makes him happy and he loves her. The biggest development (since his confession) is Rin accidentally hearing he turned Houin down. I don’t consider her telling Houin “Sure, have him…till I’m older anyways” a development at all UNLESS Houin somehow manages to ‘nab’ Aoki in the next few chapters. THEN it’ll matter.

I want more Mimi and Kuro. I liked seeing Kuro’s tuoring chapter, it made me like her more (for awhile there she was just blending into the background).
